Damon Key Welcomes Two New Associates

Elizabeth L. Burroughs and Cherise K. Boyce
Two new attorneys have joined Damon Key Leong Kupchak Hastert as associates, bringing a diversity of interests and experience to the law firm.
Elizabeth L. Burroughs earned her JD degree from William & Mary Law School in Williamsburg, VA, and her undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. She interned with the Maryland Legal Aid Bureau, and spent a semester at the Instituto de Empressa law school in Madrid, Spain before returning to Hawai‘i. She also interned at the U.S. District Court in Hawai‘i. Burroughs’ interest in law was sparked as a student at Kahuku High School when her team placed 14th in the “We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution,” a nationwide student competition. She practices in the firm’s Real Estate and Construction Practice Group and Dispute Resolution Practice Group.
Cherise K. Boyce, a Kamehameha Schools graduate, earned a JD degree from the University of Hawai’i William S. Richardson School of Law. She received an MA degree in English literature from the University of Oxford, England. She also earned a fellowship in Native Hawaiian law from the Center for Excellence in Native Hawaiian Law and worked at the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement. She practices in the firm’s Estate Planning and Dispute Resolution Practice Groups.
